Pink things for millennials re-living the 90s

No, I couldn’t think of a shorter title!

I can’t believe (again!) that I haven’t posted in so long. If you’ve been following me for the last few months, you might have noticed that I had surgery and took a bit of time out from Mille Saisons to recover. I’m happy to say that I am two months post double jaw surgery now and feel amazing; I definitely turned a corner with my energy levels at 6 weeks post op and am really ready to take Mille Saisons forward and generally grab life by the horns! I don’t want to sound overly gushy, but I really want to say thank you to everyone who still ordered from Mille Saisons while I was recovering. I had worked hard beforehand to plan for my time off and create enough stock so that hopefully you couldn’t notice the difference and I’m really grateful that I was able to keep Mille Saisons running post op. Special shout out to my mum as well who took over posting orders as well as making sure I was eating and taking my painkillers!

With this in mind, I have been working on some new mini edits like the one you can see in this post with lifestyle and styling inspiration. I’ve really been enjoying have the time and energy to create extra little bits like this so I hope you like them too :) It’s also National Pink Day so today seemed the perfect time to post this!

First up is this pair of heart shaped sunglasses from Urban Outfitters. I have a pair I bought years ago after years resigned to prescription sunglasses. All 90’s me wanted was a pair of pink mirrored heart frames and when I started wearing contact lenses, I think I overcompensated with the number of sunglasses I bought!

I recently bought this pink glittery notebook to be the master Mille Saisons planning notebook. It’s a decent size, not quite A4 but big enough to fit all of my postage cost calculations without having to keep using new pages- this is a bit of a bug bear of mine! This notebook is also pretty thick so I’ll be using it for a long time to come.

I’m in two minds about this shell hairclip because I wore similar hair claws so much when I was a child and I don’t know if I should revisit the trend. But on the other hand, I am in love with the iridescent pink and shell shape!

Who doesn’t love Colourpop and when their lip gloss is this affordable, I am very much on board with revisiting the shimmery pink lips I can remember with this saccharine pink gloss.

Emma Warren is one of my favourite indie brands on Instagram (to the point that I am also following her adorable dog Bea’s account!) I love how she elevates simple tees and jumpers with cute and sassy embroidery designs like this slogan embroidered pink t shirt.

Even when you aren’t wearing a scrunchie, you can still let everyone know where your 90’s accessory allegiance lies with our pink glitter enamel scrunchie pin.

I don’t often wear trainers because they don’t really suit me but if I did, I’d be picking these pink flatform trainers.

Our silk scrunchie in shell pink is the perfect shade of soft millennial pink to add to your ponytail. The soft sheen of silk raises the scrunchies of your childhood to a luxe grown up hair tie, with the added bonus of being gentle on your hair too.

Finally, Skinnydip’s pink velvet backpack is perfect for millennial preppy cool style and provides the perfect base to show off your enamel pin collection. your enamel pin collection.

Let me know if there are any themes you'd like to see for this mini blog series of style inspiration :) Jo x
