Choosing your perfect scrunchie size

If you've ever wanted a full run down of all my scrunchie sizes, this is the guide for you! I have 4 main scrunchie sizes now and a double ruffle scrunchie style too so I felt it was time to run through all of my hair tie sizes.

The classic scrunchie

Just the right balance of hair tie and soft silky ruffles! I wear mine wrapped three times around my ponytail (which measures about 10cm around. No, I never imagined I’d measure my ponytail either 😅) or twice around a bun. I do prefer a tighter scrunchie to keep my ponytail in place as my hair can get heavy when it is a bit longer

If you are struggling to get the right amount of tension in your scrunchie- two wraps is too loose but three is too tight, you can try wrapping it once then twisting the scrunchie just around itself before wrapping it around your ponytail again. You can add more twists until it is just right. I made a little video showing this too

The super scrunchie

When a regular scrunchie just isn’t providing enough impact, reach for the next size up! 50% wider and longer than our classic scrunchie size, our super scrunchie adds a little more drama to your ponytail measuring 15cm across when laid flat

The double ruffle scrunchie

If a super scrunchie still isn’t bringing enough impact, it’s time for the double ruffle scrunchie! Even bigger than the super scrunchie with an extra silk ruffle gathered around the outside of each scrunchie to get a whole new level of volume bringing the size to 21cm across when laid flat.

The mini scrunchie

Designed for finer hair or half up styles mini ponytails using less hair. You can even use two for cute space buns! The mini scrunchie uses less silk; about half the width and half the length of our classic scrunchie. I use a little less elastic (just a couple of centimeters) so it can still fit on some wrists.

The hair elastic

Our silk hair elastics are more subtle than a scrunchie and perfectly practical for ponytail style. A thicker inner elastic provides a stronger hold, ideal for the gym or for thicker hair that would benefit from a bit more support. Because the silk is narrower, I also hand stitch this style closed for a sleeker profile.
