The only negative about The Ingénue is that I wish it were published more than twice a year. Helmed by Kristina Golightly and Jessie Lily Adams as Editor in Chief and Creative Director respectively, The Ingenue has unashamedly dreamy and feminine aesthetics with both grounded articles and pieces on more unusual topics; my favourite of this kind featured Colleen Moore’s incredible fairy castle.

Ballad of is a submission based bi-annual magazine set to a pre-decided theme. Ballad of highlights emerging creatives within its positive pages with plenty of additional material added online.

The Gentlewoman leans towards a more reserved and mature aesthetic, more Céline investment coat than Valentino embroidered tulle princess gown. I was won over in Issue 2 by the boldness of dedicating four double page spreads to the different varieties of apples and an interview with Julia Davis of the almost cult comedy series Nighty Night.

Caboodle is the bright, bold anti-thesis to The Gentlewoman. This magazine is happily cheerful and celebrates the best of designer-makers and creatives. DIY crafts strongly feature in this publication designed to uplift your spirits and enjoy all that is wonderful about life. Don’t let the light and bright visuals fool you though, there are plenty of inspiring articles within too.

Styled as a magazine for ambitious, creative and intelligent girls, Sunday Girl offers short but thoughtful articles with refreshing visuals.
